The Daniel Jacobs odds of pulling off the upset are coming down as fight night draws nearer tonight at the iconic Madison Square Garden.
Could this be an indication of last minute belief in the man they called ‘Miracle Man’ to pull of a miracle? it’s very possible.
If anyone could pull of an upset it’s a man as mentally strong as Jacobs (here’s tonight’s estimated fight time).
Our own James Suillivan at Boxing News and Views pointed out earlier in the week that Jacobs was 25/1 in some places to get the win on points.
For such a scenario to happen, one would imagine Golovkin would need an off night to occur. But if Jacobs could get his gameplan right he does possess some superior height and reach if he tried to keep it long.
Golovkin has proved to be a master of closing the distance to mid range in the blink of an eye in the past however.
As the fight comes closer now boxing writer Keith Idec pointed out on Twitter that the Daniel Jacobs odds in general are coming down in some places:
Odds have gone down slightly on Golovkin-Jacobs. Golovkin now -700. Jacobs is +450 #GolovkinJacobs

Perhaps some fight fans might fancy this as more value than backing a Golovkin win who is odds on favorite to win tonight in New York.
What a fight it promises to be.
