This Manny Pacquiao tribute is of the goosebumps invoking kind. A reminder of the special contributions to both sport and humanity this guy has made, and continues to.
Pacquiao is currently lining up his next opponent after a proposed fight later in 2017 against Amir Khan recently fell through.
Jeff Horn is thought to be the leading contender next up for Pacquiao – whom last competed in November when he outpointed Jessie Vargas in Las Vegas.
Although Pacquiao has now reached the latter years of his career, the dominant win over a younger Vargas while balancing a full-time Senator job in his home country conveys that ‘Pacman’ still has plenty left to give to the sport.
He’s given more than most to it over the years in a remarkable career that’s seen him win world titles in eight weight divisions.
But perhaps more impressive than his stellar pugilistic achievements are those that he’s had outside the ring. Things he’s done for both his country and as a man.
His charitable donations are thought to be up there with the most generous of any top tier athlete. Certainly of the modern era.
A man who never forgot where he came from. Or who he was.
After stumbling across this amazing Manny Pacquiao career tribute this morning, we felt compelled to share it with you guys as Pacquiao looks set to announce his next opponent very soon.
Genuinely, this Manny Pacquiao tribute is one of the best of it’s kind I’ve seen at least: (H/T to William Prescott)
