Heavyweight Dereck Chisora gives a bit of a different perspective here from a fighter’s point of view on what the controversial Eubanks are all about behind the scenes.
Both Chris Eubank Jr and his famed fighting father have come in for a lot of flack over the last year or so in various places.
Largely for over negotiating their positions to the point where big fights have fallen through. In some people’s opinions.
This has apparently happened when trying to negotiate a rematch with the only opponent to date to have beaten Eubank Jr – WBO middleweight champion Billy Joe Saunders.
But perhaps the most notable instance of this was last September when according to promoter Eddie Hearn and others, Eubank Jr missed out on the chance to face middleweight kingpin Gennady Golovkin because of his father being too difficult to work with.
But that’s not the case according to Dereck Chisora.
The British heavyweight feels that both Eubank Jr and his father are shrewd operators. Businessmen who know how to get exactly what they want and know their value.
Unlike a lot of professional fighters says Chisora in this interesting, to the point short interview with London Real (hat tip):
What do you think? Are the Eubanks misunderstood? Feel free to leave your comments on social media and share with your friends.
