Former world champion Liam Smith gives fans a from the heart message about missing weight ahead of his fight against Liam Williams.
The former WBO super-welterweight world champion surrendered his title to the pinpoint power of Mexican Canelo Alvarez in 2016.
The Englishman continues his comeback this weekend.
He takes on Liam Williams tomorrow night in the UK but at the weigh-in today the Liverpool native Smith missed the weight.

These things can happen of course in professional boxing but Smith is usually known for been a constant professional.
Not that such a warrior like Smith would need to give an explanation, the fact he steps in the ring for the entertainment of others is surely enough for any fans watching this weekend, but nonetheless, Liam Smith gives his reasons for what happened today here:

Many fans will remember Smith for his fight with Canelo last year. Although Smith lost, what an absolute carnage war it was.
Some of the punishment he soaked up from Canelo was quite extraordinary, but he was more than willing to give it back to him too.
A ding dong in Texas that ultimately ended in a Canelo stoppage win.
It is understood that this weekend’s fight between Liam Smith and Liam Williams will still go ahead as planned despite Smith missing the weight.
Smith will look to erase this painful memory furthermore this weekend (after a low key warm up fight a few weeks back):
