Since his last outing in the ring last month against Danny Jacobs the fical boxing world has been speculating who Golovkin will take on next.
Before his fight with Jacobs, many likened Golovkin to an unstoppable machine and an all time great already.
Alas, after one slightly under par performance and excellent showing from Jacobs, the fical nature of boxing was revealed in some of those same people now thinking Golovkin is past it.

That couldn’t be further from the truth, though. Everyone is entitled to an off night and lest we not forget, he still won the fight (by unanimous decision).
Now the world middleweight number one has been linked to finally getting that big fight that we all want over the line from a report by Chris Mannix of Yahoo.
Essentially, Mannix says that ‘GGG’ according to his sources could potentially not box at all in the summer as previously expected against WBO champion Billy Joe Saunders from the UK.
Instead opting to go straight to a mouthwatering showdown with Canelo Alvarez in September. The big one.
Canelo must first get past Chavez Jr next month in May in what promises to be an excellent battle in itself.
