In case you missed the Gilberto Ramirez vs Max Bursak fight for the WBO super-middleweight title we’ve got you covered.
WBO super-middleweight world champion Gilberto Ramirez despite having a relatively dominant career thus far (35-0-24KO) is still looking for that big break out fight.
After Arthur Abraham’s win over Robert Krasniqi yesterday in Germany, it looks like the former champion Abraham will challenge Ramirez for his belt next up.
Mexican Ramirez was also in action of course – as part of the Stub Hub Center card that took place in California. He was able to get a unanimous decision win over Max Bursak.
He did so in dominant fashion in the end.

After coming off an extended layoff due to a hand injury, Ramirez was able to win pretty much every round over the outclassed Bursak.
After the fight Ramirez called for a showdown with middleweight kingpin Gennady Golovkin. Whether ‘GGG’ would be willing to fight him remains to be seen.
At present, it is understood Golovkin is still locked in negotiations for a potential mega fight this September with Mexican boxing star Canelo Alvarez.
