Tyson Fury confirms return to the ring will definitely happen amid social media storm in a short recorded video to his fans.
Fury has been beginning the process of shedding the large amount of weight he has built up over the last 18 months or so since he last fought in the ring against Wladimir Klitschko.
Since that monumental win in Germany that night, Fury has been plagued by demons that saw him in 2016 have to vacate the heavyweight title belts that he had worked so hard for to win in 2015.
He then got help for depression as his woes went from bad to worst that saw him use substances on some occasions in 2016.
However 2017 appears to be the year that he’s definitely coming back. The year that the heavyweight division seems to be in a bit of a comeback in boxing too.
It’s wide open since Fury beat Klitschko that night in 2015. 2017 promises to be the year we see many of the best fighters in the division fight one another.
Anthony Joshua vs Wladimir Klitschko this weekend tangible proof of that:
Fury no doubt no wants in on the action.
He was seen training here this week alongside WBO middleweight champion Billy Joe Saunders, running side by side as he mounts a comeback.
Some have suggested that he could indeed comeback as early as July on part of the same card Saunders features on in the UK.
No definite date or opponent has been confirmed for Fury yet, but the man himself has taken to social media to let his fans know that it will now definitely happen:
