Anyone thinking he wasn’t serious about a comeback might have to think again as Tyson Fury reveals early results of training camp.
The Ring Magazine heavyweight champion of the world is getting back on track, bit by bit, in a bid to return to the sport of boxing.
He faces the considerable task first of not just getting in fight shape, but actually just losing weight in a healthy manner before he goes into a full on training camp.
He seems to be doing so in a healthy fashion in the sun at the moment out in Marbella, Spain, alongside WBO middleweight champion Billy Joe Saunders.
Speaking today Tyson Fury reveals the early weight loss he’s achieved since only been back training a week or so:
“The weight’s dripping off, melting off. I’ve lost 18 pounds already.”
Not bad for training for just over a week or so, in anybody’s books.
Sure, he might be at an all time career weight high at the moment, but the above does demonstrate at least in his first week that he is very serious about this comeback that has been considerably speculated.
The likes of Anthony Joshua awaits when he does come back, but Fury will first need to get his boxing license back and have a warm up before stepping into a world heavyweight title fight one suspects.
