Brook vs Spence is fast approaching towards the end of this month and stadium fight buzz is already starting again after Joshua vs Klitschko.
The latter took place only last week of course, outdoors in front of 90,000 screaming fans at Wembley stadium in London, England.
There’s something a little bit more special about a stadium fight in boxing.
The outdoor atmosphere really seems to super charge fans and more than anything, it’s probably that they are a rare occasion in the sport is what peaks interest for most fans with them.
Kell Brook vs Errol Spence Jr will take place for the IBF welterweight championship later this month on May 25th in Brook’s hometown of Sheffield at the city’s soccer club’s stadium Sheffield United.
The arena is called Brammall Lane and while not the size of a Wembley stadium, can still hold a max capacity of a very healthy 32,702 people.
Ahead of the fight this slick clip from Showtime (hat tip) illustrates the arena where the fight will take place a bit more clearly:

The fight itself is really shaping up to be a quality, dangerous test for both fighters.
Both boxers have considerable knockout power and finishing instincts at 147lbs and the whole UK vs USA boxing rivalry is also in full flow with it.
Judging by Brook’s recent 22 day check weight he is certainly taking Spence deadly serious.
