IBF welterweight world champion Kell Brook has a unique message for his American opponent ahead of their fight.
Buzz is really building ahead of Saturday night’s Kell Brook vs Errol Spence Jr fight. A match that seems to have gotten both casual and hardcore boxing fans alike excited in equal measure.
That’s not easy to do either.
Both guys are relatively well known in their respective countries and internationally within the sport of boxing, but it’s perhaps the sheer quality of the matchup that has captivated fans in the run up to it more than anything.
Two top level welterweights who want to win – badly. A throwback 147lbs title fight in many ways seeing the best fighting the best.
The old UK vs USA rivalry renewed too, this time in the UK. In an outdoor stadium fight no less.
Following the tragedy this week in Manchester at the Ariana Grande concert that sadly saw the loss of innocent life, promoter of this weekend’s event Eddie Hearn has said the following on security arrangements at this weekend’s boxing event in Sheffield:
the Security operations for Saturday’s Event.A stringent full body search will be administered on entrance & no bags will be admitted into

the stadium. Also South Yorkshire Police will have an extensive presence at the venue. Please allow extra time to enter the Stadium. Thank you

As for the fight itself, Kell Brook has been in full voice in the lead up and by all accounts looks to be firing on all cylinders in preparation.
The big question will be how his body reacts from going up to middleweight last year when he fought Gennady Golovkin and nowcoming back down to welterweight on Saturday night.
Speaking on Behind The Ropes – Brook had this message for Spence on fight week:
“Errol Spence I hope you are hungry because I’ve got plenty of chocolate brownies ready for you.”
