Two prominent US world champions have taken issue with Kell Brook quitting in his fight with Errol Spence Jr.
Likely this debate of Kell Brook quitting or not against Errol Spence will rage on over the coming days following the 11th round stoppage tonight in Sheffield.
It’s a pity if it does – as the fight itself was an excellent one overall.
Alas, in boxing controversy is usually not far away and straight after tonight’s fight commentator and former world champion Tony Bellew mentioned he thought Brook could have fought on.
Brook’s promoter revealed after the fight that his fighter suffered a broken eye socket in round 7.
Two American world champions however have taken issue with what they deem to be Brook quitting in particular, Terence Crawford and Gervonta Davis – who gained quite a bit of traction on Twitter with the following:
How can you quit in the 11 rd in front of 27,000 of your fans. Smh

What do you think? Do you agree?
Former world champion from Wales turned commentator for BoxNation in the UK, Barry Jones had this to say in Brook’s defence which also gained quite a few re-tweets:
Unless you’ve been blowing out your arse in a fight, you’ll never know how hard that was for Brook to get through.
