Miguel Cotto signs with Golden Boy and Oscar De La Hoya in a big move towards the tail end of his legendary career.
One of Puerto Rico’s greatest ever warriors, Miguel Cotto – has signalled his intention to finish his career with Oscar De La Hoya and Golden Boy Promotions today.
Cotto had previously been with Jay Z’s RocNation but after a parting of ways recently after some differences he has now hooked up with Golden Boy.

His fight will be on August 26th at the StubHub Center on HBO and it will be shown live on HBO.
He will take on Yoshihiro ‘El Maestrito’ Kamegai for the vacant WBO super-welterweight championship of the world.
It is understood that the deal with Golden Boy is a multi-fight agreement but with Cotto now being 36, likely he will finish his career with Golden Boy one suspects.
His last fight came against Canelo Alvarez all the way back in November 2015 at this point – a bout Cotto lost by unanimous decision at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas.
Cotto’s record currently stands at 40-5-33KO at present.
His upcoming opponent Kamegai 27-3-2-24KO has a professional boxing record of 27-3-2-24KO and his last fight was a stoppage win over Jesus Soto Karass back in September 2016.
Cotto had been campaigning at middleweight in recent times
