How Errol Spence Reacted To Watching The Brook Fight Back

It’s been nearly a week now since Errol Spence reacted initially with joy to winning the IBF welterweight title after beating Kell Brook.

It was a fight that proved to be one of the big wins so far of 2017, when Errol Spence Jr stopped Kell Brook inside the distance in his hometown of Sheffield.

It was a fight that had a bit of everything in the end – boxing skill, toe to toe exchanges, knockdowns and ultimately a stoppage.

It was confirmed this week that Kell Brook will undergo surgery for the broken eye socket he sustained at the hands of Spence.

A painful reminder for the Englishman of how good an operator he was in there with. Errol Spence is on the up and up now and is being tipped as a possible future star of American boxing.

If he can get matched well consistently against the best opposition at welterweight, it doesn’t seem that unrealistic given his talent.

Upon looking back at the fight nearly a week on, I got the impression that Spence seemed in more control of the fight then I did while watching it live.

A really patient display from the Texan. Here is how Errol Spence reacted when he watched the fight back on tape:
