The new Joseph Parker Hughie Fury date for their WBO heavyweight title showdown has been confirmed as September 23rd.
The new New Joseph Parker Hughie Fury date isn’t as far away as some thought it might be.
The anticipated showdown for the WBO heavyweight title between two of boxing’s new young heavyweights on the world scene will take place in just a few short months.
The fight will take place on September 23rd at the Manchester Arena in the UK.
The bout previously was scheduled for back in May in Parker’s home country of New Zealand but had to be postponed due to a late injury to Fury.
The new location of the Manchester Arena is a big coup also for Fury, who trains and lives just outside of Manchester in Bolton.

No long haul flight for him to New Zealand this time. Instead, the champion Parker will make the cross the globe trip to defend his belt.
No doubt he is being paid well to do so.
Parker defended his belt against replacement opponent for Fury, Razvan Cojanu, on May 6th in New Zealand via unanimous decision.
It was a performance that was perhaps not Joseph’s best at the time, so expect a fully fired up Parker travelling to the UK later in the year.
