A well known professional boxer makes the startling claim that Irishman Conor McGregor was knocked out in recent boxing sparring.
The ‘MayMac’ international press tour has been and gone and it’s left a lot of people talking both in a positive and negative light.
There were many critics of the tour dragging on for the four days and both men running out of new material, resorting to perhaps more distasteful comments than even they are known for in the end.
Whatever your opinion might be, there’s no doubt that come August 26th the world will be tuning in out of intrigue if nothing else.
To see what happens when the biggest name in boxing and the biggest name in MMA throw down in a boxing ring.

In recent months there has been a lot of footage emerging of Conor McGregor readying himself for his first pro boxing match.
His sparring clips in particular have come in for a lot of criticism from members of the boxing community.
Some have also noted that they could have been deliberately put out there to lull Floyd Mayweather into some type of false sense of security.
Not the case according to former world champion Jessie Vargas however. Speaking to Villainfy Media, he said that McGregor has come in stuck in a big way already in preparation:
“He got knocked out in sparring already. Yeah. The boxing world is small. It’s a small circle.”
Sparring stories and rumours are always to be taken with a pinch of salt mind you.
But someone of Vargas’ stature within the sport, a former WBO welterweight champion of the world who only lost his title to Manny Pacquiao in 2016, have to be listened to at the very least.
