The Mayweather vs McGregor TV UK channel has been officially confirmed as Sky Sports Box Office today ahead of August 26th.
It will be shown in Ireland and the UK on the broadcaster they confirmed today on Sky Sports News – as the head of Sky Boxing Adam Smith detailed.
Smith expects the Irish fans to travel in their droves to Las Vegas he said.
Former fighter turned manager Matthew Macklin and pundit Johnny Nelson were also speaking on Sky Sports News moments ago about the announcement that it will be shown on Sky Box Office.
Macklin thinks McGregor has no chance of beating Mayweather in the straight boxing match – come August 26th at the T-Mobile Arena.
He also mentioned that he doesn’t think the relatively competitive odds shown by bookmakers reflect the nature of the mismatch that it will be.

This sentiment was expressed by everyone in Sky studios today, other than McGregor landing a lucky punch and absolutely going for it in the early rounds in the hope of catching Mayweather with something.
Sky Sports confirmed today that UK fans will pay £19.95 for the fight – while Irish fans will need to pay €24.95 for the event.
When you consider that Americans are being asked to pay just under 100 dollars by Showtime to buy the fight – UK and Irish fight fans will essentially have to pay a quarter of that.
