British boxer Amir Khan reveals his wife has left him as she wants to be with heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua in some bizarre tweets.
If professional boxing could go closer to becoming a soap opera then perhaps today’s controversy between Amir Khan and Anthony Joshua has taken the cake of 2017 in that regard.
It has been well documented over the last year that Amir Khan and his wife and Khan’s parents have been at loggerheads for some time – with a leaked sex tape even been blamed on Khan’s family at one point.
Amir Khan has still not actually boxed since May of 2016 when he was knocked out by Mexican boxing star Canelo Alvarez but it was thought that Khan by now would have at least fought once.

He was scheduled to take on Manny Pacquiao earlier in the year but it fell through after apparent investors in the middle East failed to put up the funds required to host the fight.
Things have gone from bad to worse for Khan today, as he revealed on Twitter that his wife has left him:
