Say what you want about the main event but the Floyd Mayweather vs Conor McGregor undercard has come as a pleasant surprise.
The organisers of August 26th’s mega event are no fools and know if the main event were to disappoint, that a solid Floyd Mayweather vs Conor McGregor undercard is needed.
They’ve delivered to be fair.
There will be two world title fights supporting the main event as well as a mix of some other known US and UK names so far.
As pointed out by our own Stewart Lawrence, here’s how it’s shaping up so far:
The underused for @FloydMayweather vs @TheNotoriousMMA not a bad line up. pic.twitter.com/wjvfdHBbxk

This could be the start of the long planned Mayweather Promotions and Matchroom Boxing (UK) partnership that was mooted a while back by both Eddie Hearn and Mayweather Promotions CEO Leonard Ellerbe.
Essentially a partnership that will see the two promoters match more of their UK and US talent on a consistent basis and send them overseas to each other’s countries.
Cleverly vs Jack is an fairly sold match up in fairness, one that boxing purists will appreciate.
It’s nice to see that despite the main event being obviously more of an entertainment fight than a competitive pro boxing match, that they are starting to fill the card with good solid matchups for boxing fans.
If they can add to the above another one or two for the boxing purists, perhaps they can provide something for both the masses and the small group of hardcore fans that keep the sport going year round.
