UK boxer Ohara Davies puts the foot in on Cyclone Promotions amid reports Barry McGuigan and Carl Frampton’s partnership is coming to an end.
Earlier this evening it was reported by the BBC in Northern Ireland that Carl Frampton and Barry McGuigan’s boxer-manager partnership could be coming to an end.
Recent opponent and fellow promotional stablemate of Frampton, Josh Taylor – stopped Ohara Davies inside the distance in emphatic fashion in Scotland in his last bout.
There was quite a bit of bad blood between Davies and Taylor and indeed between Davies and Taylor’s promotional outfit Cyclone Promotions in the lead up the fight.
Amid speculation that things are not looking good for Cyclone Promotions tonight, Ohara Davies has put the boot in so to speak.
He had this message for Cyclone on Facebook:
Davies has been known for his controversial outbursts in the past but following the recent bout with Taylor, which was the first loss of Davies’ professional boxing career, Davies appeared to then make peace with Taylor and his Cyclone Promotions team afterwards.
This clearly judging by the above has been short lived.
Such is boxing – where a famous promoter said one time that if you want loyalty in boxing forget about it, you’d be better off to:
“Buy a dog.”
