Two-weight world champion Carl Frampton defends heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua’s choice of opponent next up.
Joshua’s next fight was officially announced at a press conference today as he gets ready to defend his belts against Kubrat Pulev of Bulgaria next month in Wales.
Some fans have questioned the fight as being an easy touch for Joshua, so to speak.
But to be fair to him it is a mandatory defence that he agreed to a long time ago, before his fight with Klitschko earlier this year in fact.
Sure, it’s not on the same hype level or credibility level for that matter of the Klitschko fight, but Pulev is no slouch as those who’ve watched him will tell you.
One fellow fighter and prominent two-weight world champion has come to Joshua’s defence in terms of the fight overall.
Speaking on Twitter, Carl Frampton defends the Joshua vs Klitschko fight saying:
AJ vs Pulev getting some unwarranted stick. Pulev is a hard motherfu*ker and can fight. I’m looking forward to it

Reacting to one fight fan who questioned the fight, Frampton added:
Like who? Maybe Mike Tyson will come out of retirement https://t.co/FQIbsuc0md

The ‘Jackal’ is currently in the news himself as he looks to sign with a new promoter for his next fight following splitting recently from Cyclone Promotions.
