WBO Middleweight Champion Billy Joe Saunders does a number on one reporter who brought up a fairly harsh question for him.
Journalists and professional athletes can often have an up and down relationship, particularly when sensitive questions are asked.
Today at a press conference in the UK ahead of his world title defense against Willie Monroe Jr middleweight champion Billy Joe Saunders had a bit of a, well, run in so to speak with one reporter.
At the press conference a reporter appearing to be from the US said to Saunders:
“How goes it feel that England is not behind you, that they call you an embarrassment to your country – that you carry yourself without dignity?”
What came back at him was firstly some patience from Saunders, who asked those in attendance – and then took him down a peg:

Quality stuff.
Saunders and Monroe Jr will not only face off for the WBO 160lbs title this weekend but also a chance to get the winner of this weekend’s super fight between Gennady Golovkin and Canelo Alvarez.
A chance to unify the division no doubt is motivating both men highly. Both look to be in tip top condition.
