Catch the Forticos vs Kudryashov weigh in results ahead of their WBA cruiserweight title fight in San Antonio, Texas, USA.
Cuban and Russian boxing talent will be on full display this weekend in the World Boxing Super Series quarter final between Cuban Yunier Dorticos and Russian Dmitry Kudryashov.
They might not be known to many outside of hardcore boxing fans but don’t let that fool you, they represent some of the best talent in the cruiserweight division today.
Indeed a division that’s traditionally proved a tough sell over the years.
The WBSS looks like one of the best things to happen to the division in some time. Getting all of its top talent to face off against one another in a win you go forward – lose you go home format.
Pretty simple to understand.
Ahead of the fight Cuban Yunier Dorticos said:
“I idolized Muhammad Ali just like everyone else in this sport, and to earn the trophy with his name would be something very special for my life and career.”
Dmitry Kudryashov noted:
“Fighting for the Muhammad Ali Trophy is huge for me. It is a big responsibility to make sure that I honor his name.”
