Carl Frampton officially announced his new promotional deal today after recently announcing a new management deal ahead of his comeback.
For a while boxing fans had wondered who Frampton would hook up with as his new promoter following breaking ties with Cyclone Promotions.
The answer officially came today as Frank Warren.
It seems the choice in the end came down to the two big promoters in the UK, Frank Warren and Eddie Hearn.
Frampton is now managed by MTK Global and took his time making the decision with them and talking it over with his family.
Here on IFL TV YouTube (hat tip) – he outlines what happened and why he made the decision he did:
‘The Jackal’ will fight next on November 18th at the SSE Arena in Belfast against an opponent to be named.
It is understood after that he will look to fight again in the new year at Windsor Park in Belfast, which will accomplish one of his remaining goals in the sport.
The weight for his next fight has not been established just yet, but by all accounts it will be at featherweight.
Frampton mentioned at the press conference today that he is already on top of his weight after failing to make it last time out.
