The news was formally confirmed today at a press conference in Ulster Hall, Belfast, Northern Ireland.
The venue and opponent for Frampton is to be confirmed but the show has been titled ‘Reborn’ and that it will be a double world title show.
The card will also have two other exciting fights on it in the form of Belfast man Jamie Conlan vs Jerwin Ancajas for Ancajas’ IBF super-flyweight world title.
Also featured on the card will be a WBO world bantamweight title fight involving Zolani Tete, as well as featuring triple Olympian Paddy Barnes.
Full details are expected to be confirmed in the coming week or so in what looks to be a superb night of boxing in Belfast in store.
It will mark Frampton’s first fight since suffering the sole loss of his career to Leo Santa Cruz back in January in Las Vegas.
It will also mark the first time Frampton will box under new head trainer Jamie Moore from Manchester.
