Kubrat Pulev plans to do quite the act if he pulls off the upset next month and dethrones heavyweight champion of the world Anthony Joshua.
Bulgaria’s Kubrat Pulev might not be well known to casual sports fan like Anthony Joshua, but regular boxing fans will know he’s not to be underestimated.
A heavyweight who can box as well as many in the division, he will be looking to spring the upset next month in Cardiff, Wales on Joshua.
The bookmakers are obviously favoring Joshua heavily but the Briton will know he can’t afford to take Pulev lightly and risk everything he’s built up to date.
Especially against a man as motivated as Pulev, who has revealed that if he wins he will be doing the following as per his latest Facebook post to his fans (translated to English):
“Hello, friends! Day after day, the big battle in Cardiff is coming. I think…., if i win this game, I’ll donate half the money to charity causes. For orphanages or hospitals for life-saving and others. I’ll be happy to be a world champion. The money, let’s make them happy.”
Half of his purse should equal quite the bit of money considering the size of Joshua’s PPV star in the UK and the wider world.
The fight is scheduled to take place on October 28th at the Principality Stadium, Cardiff, Wales.
