Rocky Fielding put on a sensational performance in his hometown to defeat David Brophy to add another title to his collection.
The Liverpool native was in electric form tonight in front of his hometown fans as he defended his British super-middleweight title – but also added the Commonwealth belt to his collection.
His opponent Dave Brophy proved to be outmatched from the get go, getting dropped early on in the first round to survive another minute or so until the referee came in to wave it off.
Rocky Fielding didn’t waste his time when he had his man in trouble and the moment he closed the show was captured here via Sky Sports Twitter (hat tip):

As conclusive a win as any at 168lbs in recent times. As the old saying goes in boxing:
“You don’t get paid for overtime.”
Fielding certainly wasn’t wasting any time tonight. The win improved his professional boxing record to 24-1-13KO.
Afterwards his promoter Eddie Hearn said he would like to see Rocky Fielding step up to European level next up.
The only loss of Fielding’s career to date came back in 2015 to fellow Liverpool 168lbs contender Callum Smith, where Fielding was stopped inside the distance on that occasion.
Since then Fielding has put together four wins on the bounce.
