Conor McGregor releases an emotional response following the horrific news that took place in Las Vegas where 59 people were murdered.
The world is still in a state of shock following one of the most gruesome single shooting sprees in history by one individual.
Las Vegas being the fight capital of the world in the eyes of many, has strong ties with boxing and well known boxers who have all been paying their respects this week to those affected by the mayhem in Las Vegas.
Conor McGregor who boxed Floyd Mayweather in Las Vegas in August – knows the city very well having fought there a number of times and also owns a home in the city.
Following the tragic events in Las Vegas McGregor has said the following:
“Absolutely devastated upon hearing the news in Las Vegas. A city with so much energy and life. A city of celebration and enjoyment. A city so close to my heart. I pray for all the victims, their families, and everyone affected by this senseless act of violence.”
McGregor’s recent boxing match with Floyd Mayweather in the city was the second biggest pay per view event for boxing of all time and took place at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
The biggest event in boxing history also took place in Las Vegas. This happened in 2015 between Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao at the MGM Grand.
