Hughie Fury trainer and father Peter Fury has blasted the British Boxing Board of Control following comments from his nephew Tyson Fury.
Yesterday was a busy news day for former heavyweight champion of the world Tyson Fury.
He said he will not be applying for a British Boxing Board of Control license to fight professionally but then in the same day, sent out a Tweet later with a hashtag mentioning that his suspension has been lifted (likely referring to UKAD).
Recently footage emerged of Fury having a very heated discussion in the ring with British Boxing Board of Control secretary Robert Smith after Joseph Parker vs Hughie Fury.
Following Fury’s comments yesterday, his uncle Peter Fury said he would be following suit with Hughie and had this to say in reply on Twitter:
Hughie recently lost a unanimous points decision to WBO heavyweight champion Joseph Parker in Fury’s hometown of Manchester. Hughie Fury currently holds a professional boxing record of 20-1-10KO following the bout.
Tyson Fury has not boxed since November 2015 when he dethroned long reigning heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko in Germany.
Recent reports suggest that for a comeback fight for Tyson, a bout with American Shannon Briggs has been one suggested opponent.
The two have already exchanged back and forth verbals on social media. As things stand, Tyson Fury’s professional boxing record currently reads an unblemished one of 25-0-18KO.
