Erislandy Lara was part of a busy weekend for the 154lbs division on the world stage and has his eyes now firmly set on two fighters.
IBO and WBA (Super) super-welterweight champion Erislandy Lara returned to action this weekend in winning form, scoring a scoring a unanimous points decision over Terrell Gausha at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn.
It was Lara’s 6th win in a row since suffering a controversial split decision defeat to Canelo Alvarez back in 2014 in Las Vegas.
Since then Lara has compiled some solid wins as well as capturing belts at junior-middleweight and after the fight today, has called out two fellow champions:
Congrats to @TwinCharlo and @Swift_JHurd now let’s stop the games and unify! #NoExcuses ??

Both the WBC and IBF champions recorded very impressive stoppage wins on the same night this weekend and the exciting triangle of champions now look set to all face off in the new year.
WBC champion Jermell Charlo blasted Erickson Lubin away inside one round and IBF champion Jarrett Hurd became the first man to stop Austin Trout inside the distance.
All in all, a top class night of boxing in New York.
