Certainly a very exciting card by the looks of things.
Recently Leeds’ Josh Warrington won a final eliminator for a shot at Selby’s world title so one would suspect that he will be the leading candidate for the above date.
It will mark the first time since IBF 168lbs titlist James DeGale has boxed since all the way back in January of this year when he fought to a draw with Mayweather promoted Badou Jack in New York.
Kack subsequently vacated his belt after the fight and moved up to the light-heavyweight division.
Since losing the sole fight of his pro career thus far to George Groves via split decision back in 2011, DeGale has put together a long unbeaten streak that has seen him become world champion.
A rematch between the two one day one suspects could be built into a massive fight once again. But, as things stand – both remain on different career paths at this time.
Groves is currently competing in the World Boxing Super Series tournament where he faces fellow Brit Chris Eubank Jr in the new year in the semi-finals of the tournament.
