In most fans’ eyes it came down to Canelo Alvarez and Anthony Joshua.
Certainly Canelo would have to be considered the bigger star in the US and Mexico but in the UK, which has become the dominant force in world boxing in recent years, Joshua surely takes the win in this regard.
Canelo has also been around in the public eye for a while now as a fighter, certainly longer than Joshua who has made a name for himself in relatively quick fashion after winning the Olympics back in 2012 as an amateur.
