Anthony Joshua Takam Odds – A Look At The Betting Markets

The Anthony Joshua Takam odds heavily favor the champion but some value can be seen if you look a little beneath the surface.

As you’d expect for Joshua just to win the fight outright the Anthony Joshua Takam odds are almost not worth noting as he’s that much of a favorite.

Having said that, Takam came in at the weigh-in in excellent condition and is clearly in shape.

If he can survive an early onslaught and does not get caught cold, this fitness could take him through a few rounds at least in the fight, perhaps into the middle of the bout – and help with sustaining some of the punishment that is going to be coming his way.

If Takam can get a little creative and get close to Joshua he’ll be looking to get off some big shots of his own of course.

Joshua is 8/1 to win in the first round with some bookmakers at present (for all odds see Oddschecker.com) which might tempt some who believe that ‘AJ’ can go through Takam quickly.

13/10 will get you a Joshua win between rounds 1-3. This is probably where a lot of the smart, larger money is going at present.

Most people don’t expect this to go the distance of twelve rounds given both fighter’s propensity to end contests inside the distance.

But, if you wanted to back Joshua on points you can get as high as 12/1 in some places.

For those who are looking to back the underdog Takam and think he could catch Joshua cold with a first round KO, you’d be rewarded with a whopping 150/1 in some places for such a punt.
