Jay Z’s Roc Nation Respond To Brain Damaged Boxer’s Initial Post

US sports and entertainment promotional company Roc Nation have come in for some controversy following this heart breaking story.

Roc Nation, headed by international celebrity, rap artist and businessman Jay Z, have been in the news of late following one of their old fighter’s calling them out on social media.

Daniel ‘Twitch’ Franco originally posted this post on Instagram which was subsequently taken down a short time after.

Franco suffered bleeds on the brain in a bout earlier this year that was promoted by Roc Nation. The fight nearly cost him his life and ended his boxing career.

Since then his medical bills have soared and he has had to set up a GoFundMe page (available at the above link) where his family are attempting to raise funds for ongoing medical care.

Franco had been very unhappy with not receiving a phone call from Roc Nation, he alleged, in his initial post from since the incident and included a hashtag in the post that said:

“F*** Roc Nation.”

It turns out in his latest post on Instagram, according to Franco, that Roc Nation reached out following his initial post asking him to take it down and that they would be in contact within 72 hours.

It has been over a week now and Franco has said:

“They wanted me to take down my post. I did as I was told. @rocnationsports said they would call me within 72 hours. It’s been a whole week! Where is my phone call?! They only called to tell me to take down my post, never did I hear that they’re glad I’m alive.”
