Heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua and Bear Grylls met recently ahead of his title fight with Carlos Takam.
This past weekend Anthony Joshua defended his heavyweight titles with a 10th round TKO stoppage over Carlos Takam at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff, Wales.
His preparation for the fight was considerable – stamina work, technique, strength and flexibility, no stone was left un-turned.
Not many would associate Anthony Joshua and Bear Grylls with a pre-fight workout so to speak, with one another being in the different fields that they are.
Ahead of Joshua’s latest defence this weekend the two met up in what proved to be an interesting Bear Grylls episode.
Here it is via the Becca Midgley YouTube account (hat tip):
Since his win at the weekend Joshua has been linked with fights against WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder and even more recently since yesterday, Tyson Fury.
Fury revealed on Twitter that the British Boxing Board of Control have given him the “green light” to box again in 2018.
The news has been met with contention however from some fans, who are yet to hear an official announcement from the board or from UKAD – who Fury is understood to be waiting on a hearing from.
Either way you look at it though, Anthony Joshua vs Tyson Fury would be a fight of gigantic proportions.
