The Dmitry Bivol KO in the very first round in Monte Carlo has made the entire world sit up and take notice.
And rightly so.
This knockout was up there for a contender for knockout of the year as the WBA light-heavyweight champion closed the show in style.
It improved his record to 12-0-10KO and put himself in the shop window for some big fights in the future.
The obvious one is against fellow Russian Sergey Kovalev but fights against the likes of top 175lbs champions and fighters Artur Beterbiev, Adonis Stevenson, Sullivan Barrera and Badou Jack could also be intriguing contests.
Since only turning pro back in 2014 Bivol has made quick progress.
But, after last night, with his chilling knockout going out across the world on HBO and Sky Sports – he will have become a much more known quantity around the world.
Here is the pick of the reaction from around the world of boxing to what people thought of that absolutely crippling Dmitry Bivol KO above:

Fair just thought Bivol’s was thing of beauty, effortless so natural, just timing & speed. Broadhurst asleep b4 hit canvas from 1 shot

Bivol has great footwork to move just enough back to get out of range to avoid being hit and to get back in range to attack rapidly.
