The Deontay Wilder 1st round KO of Bermane Stiverne has set up a big fight for him in 2018 one would imagine.
Wilder became only the second man to ever stop Bermane Stiverne in his pro career. A feat he himself was unable to do a couple of years before when initially capturing the WBC title.
You could tell Wilder took out months, if not years of frustration with his first round blitz of the teak tough Haitian – who had taken the fight on late notice.
The win solidified Wilder’s position as the only current American heavyweight champion of the world in boxing at the moment and will surely have moved him a step closer to the unification fights and big battles that he so craves.
Here’s a look at how the boxing world is reacting at the moment to the Wilder 1st round KO of Stiverne:

Wilder is a big guy that moves like a middleweight. Joshua gasses out but has a chin & massive power. It going to be a great fight.

We all like to clown Wilder for the lack of technical ability, but when you have that sort of power and athleticism it’s irrelevant
