Legendary Filipino boxing icon Manny Pacquiao hints that a boxing match against one Conor McGregor could be next up.
Rumours of the pair perhaps getting it on in a boxing ring had circled earlier this year but after the whole Mayweather vs McGregor fight was announced, they died down pretty quickly.
Following the fight McGregor left his future in participating in another boxing match open however – despite getting stopped inside the distance on his pro debut in the sport (0-1).
Pacquiao had never verbally said anything about his desire to fight McGregor up to this point, well nothing of note in public, but that’s changed today.
Taking to Instagram on Thanks Giving Day – Pacquiao had this message for Irishman Conor McGregor:
“Happy Thanksgiving! Stay fit my friend. #realboxingmatch #2018@thenotoriousmma”

McGregor for his part has not mentioned what his immediate plans are next and may face action following a recent incident at an MMA event in Dublin, Ireland, where footage showed McGregor appearing to strike an official.
If the crazy fight game’s history is anything to go by however, don’t think that will get in the way of stopping a big fight if both really want it.
Pacquiao’s last fight was a loss to Jeff Horn earlier this year. A bout that saw him surrender his WBO welterweight belt.
