Carl Frampton lawyer brings out a statement regarding two-weight world champion and his split from his former promoter.
Belfast’s Carl Frampton recently fought under a new promoter and trainer in his unanimous points decision win over Horacio Garcia.
Prior to the bout it was announced that Frampton had split with former promoter Cyclone Promotions. At the time it was thought to have been an amicable mutual split.
However a statement from Carl Frampton’s legal representation released online today reads the following:

Frampton now trains under coach Jamie Moore of Manchester. Frampton also added MTK Global to his management team recently.
It is understood that Frampton is targeting an outdoor stadium event for a fight next year with some suggesting that a third fight with Leo Santa Cruz could be on the cards.
Carl Frampton now 30 years old holds a professional boxing record of 24-1-14KO with the sole defeat of his career coming to Santa Cruz last January in Las Vegas.
Difficulties in securing the trilogy fight between the pair appeared to stem with Frampton wanting Santa Cruz to travel to Belfast, and Santa Cruz wanting Frampton to travel to the US again for the fight.
What a trilogy it would be, though. Lets hope they can get it made next year.
