Cuban heavyweight Luis Ortiz returns to the ring this Friday night on a Premier Boxing Champions show, just weeks after been suspended.
Ortiz was previously slated to fight WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder only a few weeks ago but a late failed drugs test ensured he was pulled from the contest and subsequently banned by the WBC and WBA.
This ban has been lifted by the WBC however and Ortiz will actually fight again this Friday night.
Here is part of the official press release with comments from Ortiz included:

Some boxing fans have taken exception to the decision and have voiced their opinion:
Caught, banned and back to work, so what’s happened to @Tyson_Fury ?

Why ? Makes a mokery out testing system

Surely he should always be banned for a testing positive for a banned substance? (For life too if you ask me)

It was high blood pressure medicine.
There are a lot of dumb things on the banned substance list. My allergy medicine being among them. If he needs medicine I got no problem with him taking it + boxing.
The legit question is if someone on HBP medicine should be allowed to box

Luis Ortiz randomly fighting on Friday in order to avoid a full year layoff is hilarious
