Irish boxing star Michael Conlan gives his current pound for pound top three fighters in the world in a list always hard to decide on.
Michael Conlan finds himself fighting again at the iconic Madison Square Garden in New York in what’s been a quick start to his professional career in 2017.
He’s gone 4-0 as a pro in a short space of time and will have his 5th and final fight of 2017 this weekend on the undercard of Vasyl Lomachenko vs Guillermo Rigondeaux.
Conlan is heavy favorite to win but knows he must stay on point and not look over his opponent with possibly big matches available to him in the new year.
Indeed, this was something he expressed to ES News this week:
“At the minute I don’t focus on names. My next opponent is Luis Molina and I’ll take him out.”
When asked who he thinks are the best three fights in the world at the moment, regardless of weight class, he added:
“I start with Crawford one, Lomachenko two, Triple GGG (Gennady Golovkin) three.”
A pretty sold list with most people probably having the above three in their top five at least. Whether in a different combination or not from the above.
Conlan will be eyeing his own move up the rankings this weekend however against Luis Molina.
