The WBO middleweight world champion put on a boxing clinic this weekend in Canada and showed what the sweet science is all about.
A wide shut out unanimous points decision this weekend over David Lemieux propelled Saunders back into the type of profile he wants in world boxing with a performance that has genuinely got people talking again.
It’s hard to believe that many bookies before hand were placing their odds as 50/50 pretty much in the fight.
Believing that Lemieux would be the toughest challenge of Englishman Saunders’ career to date.
It turned out to be anything but, as he dazzled with his skills, movement and timing in one of the best purist boxing displays of his career – while doing so on the road too.
