David Haye shows bicep scars after a successful surgery that has put his rematch with Tony Bellew back on track for next year.
The two fighters were due to box only two days ago on December 17th, but as fate would have it – Haye sustained a torn bicep in a freak accident by following off a cardio machine about a month out from the fight.
His heavyweight rematch with Tony Bellew has now been rescheduled to March 4th at the O2 Arena in London.
It is understood that Haye’s surgery went very well and he’s already back to some cardio training, with a return to full punching training expected in the coming weeks.
Today the former cruiserweight and heavyweight world champion updated boxing fans on Instagram of the scar caused in his latest surgery:

Haye has been highly unlucky in his pro boxing career at different stages. Riddled with a variety of different types of injuries over the years.
One suspects that 2018 could be one of his last runs at a heavyweight title.
If he were to sustain another injury at this stage of his career it would be difficult to see how he could come back again.
