Chris Eubank Jr reveals early weight check a little under two months out from what promises to be an action packed fight with George Groves.
The bout takes place as part of the super-middleweight semi-final in the World Boxing Super Series on February 17th next in Manchester.
It’s a bout that pits two exciting fight styles together in a match where both men come into the fight in explosive form too.
The pair perhaps share a bit in common, not just with their fight styles, but similarly their confident extroverted opinions and personalities.
All fighters have to have a degree of arrogance, mind you.
It’s too tough a thing for most ordinary folk to consider in the first place so you’d have to a slight screw loose (in a healthy) way to do what these guys do in the first place.
A lot has been made about weight and power being in advantage for Groves in the fight and Eubank Jr has drawn attention further to this with his latest weight check:
The Super Middleweight limit is 12st (168 lbs) I am NOT a Super Middleweight. But that will not stop me from dominating the division starting with George Groves on Feb 17th #NextGen #TeamEubank pic.twitter.com/6PncVgdyaE

The idea being that despite him being the smaller man that he can overcome any opponent at super-middleweight, time will tell if he’s right.
His last outing certainly impressed but it will be up to him to prove it once more – this time against a tougher foe in Groves.
