World champion Zolani Tete was told by his trainer before the fight he needed to go out there and put on a show and man, did he what.
WBO bantamweight champion Zolani Tete really has made a name for himself over the last couple of years in world boxing with some standout performances.
None more so than his last one in Belfast in November just gone when he scored a stunning KO of Siboniso Gonya at the SSE Arena.
Tete reveled what his coach told him before the fight – and his response spoke for itself:

The people of Ireland and indeed boxing fans around the world are now starting to know what he can do. Incredible stuff above.
Talks straight away of a massive unification fight with Ryan Burnett are what’s on everyone’s mind, but the beef between their promoters Eddie Hearn and Frank Warren might prove a hard to overcome obstacle.
Traditionally the two promoters have not worked together in terms of putting on bouts and it’s hard to see if this fight would be a big enough bout in reality for them to put differences aside.
The old saying however of if a fight is big enough to happen and fans want it to happen – might ring true sooner rather than later.
Particularly if both keep winning the way they have been.
