Conor McGregor won’t be happy when he sees what’s been found at the Mayweather boxing club months on from their fight.
Last August will forever go down in fight history as surely one of the most bizarre events in combat sports.
When pound for pound rated fighter Floyd Mayweather and debut pro boxer Conor McGregor fought in an easy stoppage win for Mayweather in the end.
Perhaps it will be more remembered however for the months and months of trash talk that led up to it. The whole show of it all.
McGregor even went as far as to put this gigantic mural of him punching Mayweather up in his gym in Dublin, Ireland:
I am a filthy Irish animal. pic.twitter.com/n2dETi40b2

Well, it turns out Floyd Mayweather had his own little piece of McGregor memorabilia at his gym too.
Not as extravagant as perhaps the above. But still quite unique.
MMA reporter Chamatkar Sandhu uncovered it as this:
While at the Mayweather Boxing Club this punching bag with Conor McGregor's face was just laying there amongst old, used equipment, most likely waiting to be thrown out. pic.twitter.com/qN7l67AQi9

No doubt that face got some good work in the build-up to the fight. As indeed the real face did in the end with straight right hands that finished the contest.
Recent reports suggest that Manny Pacquiao and Conor McGregor may fight in some type of match in 2018. But don’t hold your breath on that.
After all, boxing and MMA are completely different sports. Both doing well, too.
