Floyd Mayweather believes there’s a lot wrong with the modern landscape and has been outspoken on areas he thinks need to improve from the sport and from the boxers.
Following Mayweather’s career and “Money” mantra that is a part of his legacy, whether he likes it or now, it seems like money is on the agenda everywhere for young fighters now.
Prematurely, according to Mayweather.
Speaking to FightHype.com, Mayweather said:
“I just truly believe that I can take any fighter and make them bigger and that’s jut my opinion. They listen, a lot of times they listen until they get to a certain point and think they know everything. My thing is I just back up and let them do what they do.”
He went on to say:
“I’m not taking shots at any fighters. I respect any fighter who laces up his boots, put on his gloves and go out there and make a living for his family. There’s a lot of talent out there. We need to stop worrying about the Floyd Mayweather pay days and start putting in the Floyd Mayweather work first. It took me a long time to get on pay per view and I never cried or complained about nothing.”
Mayweather now finds himself as the one writing the checks for boxers as a promoter.
