Carl Frampton is not far away from his dream at fighting outdoors at Windsor Park but standing in his way is one hell of a fighter, “The Filipino Flash” no less.
While Donaire might be slightly removed from his prime at this point he’s still a dangerous puncher at featherweight and will be looking at this potentially as one of his last chances at making a run at a title.
He comes into the fight in solid form off the back of a unanimous points win over Ruben Garcia Hernandez back in September and will be chomping at the bit for Frampton come April 21st at the SSE Arena in Belfast.
Ahead of the fight Frampton has released this rather epic video on Twitter, which says more than any words ever could – enough of my guff:
Proud to fight Nonito in Belfast. But he's standing in the way of my Windsor Park Dream. Whatever it takes to win, I'll do it! #FramptonDonaire pic.twitter.com/BEuqdQGFkG

Talk about getting fans in the mood for a fight, this one should be a belter.
It’s a bit away just yet on April 21st so one suspects there will be plenty of time for more build-up to this and rightly so.
Frampton’s Windsor Park dream has been something he’s spoken about in public for years and this summer it is set to finally happen, bar losing to Nonito Donaire.
This writer can remember being at his last outdoor event, a freezing cold but wonderful evening at the Titanic Quarters for the Kiko Martinez rematch back in 2014.
One would imagine Windsor Park in the summer will be a bit warmer.
