Now that we know Fury is putting his application in for a boxing license today and that he’ll fight again in April, the next question is against who?
Over the last few months the main two names for the comeback seem to be either David Price or Shannon Briggs.
To me, Price seems more likely than Briggs given the fact he’s located only up the road in Liverpool and possibly would be asking for less money than Briggs.
Then again, could you imagine how fun and nutty a Tyson Fury vs Shannon Briggs fight and build-up would be?
It would be complete bonkers.
Although Fury himself said he wanted Joshua first fight back recently, that was more for social media in reality, he knows he needs a tune up first off in April and anyway, Joshua himself will be boxing likely in March or April against Joseph Parker.
Some are also suggesting Kubrat Pulev as a possible good test as a comeback fight but Fury’s left the question open to boxing fans saying:
“Who dose the boxing fans think I should fight in April after 2.5 years out the ring?”
He’s received what can only be described as an absolute avalanche of responses already from boxing fans all around, within his first hour.
Here’s the pick of what some of the boxing world are thinking for his opponent:
David Price

As you can see, he’s not short on a list of possible opponents.
