The fight has already got the boxing world talking in their thousands online with well over two months to go until they step in and do it for real on March 31st in Cardiff.
This is one of those fights that fans always demand – champions facing one another in unification bouts. This is when it actually makes sense to have multiple world titles when they come together and are put on the line.
Joseph Parker has done things the hard way from New Zealand to get to this point and won’t be willing to give up his WBO title without one hell of a blood bath.
Likewise for Joshua with his belts. Speaking Twitter Bellew perhaps said it best today:
“Great to see AJ vs Parker happening! Everyone wants to know who’s the best and this is a step in the right direction! Tough for AJ cos he brings so much to the table everytime he fights now! Just look at the platforms each of there last fights were on. It’s a crazy game!”
It certainly is.
But, would we have it any other way?
Boxing has always been a crazy old game – and always will be.
Get your pop corn ready for March 31st – heavyweight boxing is back with a bang.
