Heavyweight champion of the world Anthony Joshua has finally reacted to a now infamous “King of Steroids” claim made by his next opponent.
The remark made by WBO heavyweight champion Joseph Parker was made following a jibe made against him on a TV show that Joshua was on where the host Graham Norton said Parker looked like the:
“King of Pies.”
Now Joshua after sitting back and analysing everything since the controversial remark was made, has reacted to it today after telling The Guardian that:
“Three times it’s happened. If you want to use it as a PR stunt carry on using it as a PR stunt, but let’s just talk about the facts if you want to talk real. It gets under my skin.”
Joshua comes across as a very deep thinking guy.
Never one to have a knee jerk reaction when people call him out on social media or otherwise make disparaging remarks towards him.
He clearly took his time with this response and thought carefully about it.
His calculating nature may come across as business like outside the ring but the fact he’s now admitted that it got under his skin suggests that on the inside – he is raging and can’t wait to get his hands on Parker come March 31st.
